ANNUAL BIG GROUP YOSEMITE VALLEY TRIP

This is not a simple camping trip. This is one of our BIGGEST camping trips of the summer. Last year had a full trip and this year we are expecting same! More friends... more food... more hikes... more FUN. We have several campsites and several groups joining us in Yosemite Valley. We will have BBQ's, camp fires and Hike some amazing parts of the valley. Check out some of the hikes below...

THIS YEAR:  Most people will be joining us for a lighter series of hikes around the valley -
WE HAVE HALF DOME PERMITS!!!!!

We have limited spots this year - it will fill early!!

Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.

For our annual trip, we will have a variety of activities in addition to camping in the Valley and eating great food! Take a look at all the possibilities...

SAMPLE Hikes:

Half Dome (optional) - This hike is part of our SUMMIT SERIES and is not for the beginner! The 17 mile loop contains elevation gains of almost 5,000ft! For those that accept this challenging route however, the rewards are great! Along the way you will pass by two huge waterfalls, see a diversity of landscapes and plants to reach the crowning view from atop Half Dome. The views from the summit overlook all of Yosemite Valley and beyond! Be cautioned... this is a 10-12 hour hike and we will be starting VERY early in the morning...

Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls - For those that want more of an intermediate hike, then this route is for you. These falls follow the same starting trail as the Half Dome hike. Come and stay with the group and take in the views of these amazing waterfalls. Vernal Falls is a mild 2 hour / 1.5 mile hike. Nevada Falls is a little further and a little higher, weighing in at a respectable 7 mile / 6 hour trek.

Valley Hikes - The other few hikes we have on the roster we call 'tourist' hikes because most of them are a short 15-30min hike from a local parking lot. They all offer great views (most with waterfalls). We will be checking out most of these shorter hikes on Monday before we make the drive back to the Bay Area.

This trip is a car camping trip. We will be staying in one of the campgrounds in Yosemite Valley. From this 'base camp' we will explore Yosemite from a variety of day hikes. Add this event to your watch list or register to get all of the full, fun details!
