It's August and the dog-days of summer are here, so pack your hiking boots, your swim suit, grab your shades, and let's head out on a road trip to a lil' place called YOSEMITE!!! YOSEMITE CAMPING, HALF DOME HIKING, & RIVER TUBING We had so much fun in Yosemite in May with y'all...we thought we would do it all over again! 
Half Dome...you've seen it in pictures, you see it from the Yosemite Valley, it's the inspiration for the famous North Face logo and your friends have told you all about how its a once-in-a-lifetime experience to hike it...so NOW ITS YOUR TURN!!! Half Dome is a 17mi (round trip) hike that takes you from the bustling valley floor high above the famous Yosemite waterfalls and above the trees to the highest peak in the park. This hike is one of the most scenic hikes in the world...when you stand at the BASE of the cables of Half Dome you realize how incredible the dome really is...but when you stand at the TOP of the cables of Half Dome, you realize how incredible YOU really are! This hike will challenge hikers of all physical fitness level- we ask that you be able to hike 10 miles at a moderate pace, have a positive attitude and understand your limits. Every year, we take several newbie hikers up to Half Dome and they have the time of their lives...so don't let your inexperience stop you...LET IT EMPOWER YOU!  
River Tubing- You conquered Half Dome, your muscles need a bit of a break, the sun is hot, and the river is clear and cool...so grab your flotation device and let's BEAT THE HEAT and tube down the Merced River!! Tubing the Merced River is like hanging out in Golden Gate Park on a Saturday afternoon- it's as chill as you want it to be or as crazy as you need it. But no matter what way you choose, it's always just what you need. We like to pick up a few inexpensive inner tubes from the big box store, rope our tubes together, add a floating cooler, and PRESTO! Good times to be had on the river! Feel free to BYORaft or inflatable boat if you want. When we are finished with our flotilla of fun, we will have a van shuttle us back to the campground so make sure your vessel can shrink down!
