Club News

Hello UD Members ace

UD Updates: This week there have been more exciting updates to the portal. There is now a feature that allows you to see whether an event is an ACE or Urban Diversion activity. The majority of events in the South Bay have been created and hosted by former ACE club members, so this our way of giving them recognition for their efforts!

Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to some new event hosts! Because we are now running so many events over the entire Bay Area, we needed a little extra help hosting them. So make sure you keep an eye on upcoming newsletters to see the new hosts photos.

Popular Questions from Members...

Q. Why is there a little gold icon next to my name?
A. Gold members now have a little gold coin next to their name. So what does being a Gold member entail? Unlimited events, unlimited guests and first choice on top events!

Last Week at UDjon

We had incredible turnouts for both our Superbowl Parties on Sunday. Well done to Jon for making the wining chilli. GO GIANTS!

Despite the recent damp weather UD members have been out in force on some great hikes. On both the Mount Diablo and Twin Peaks hikes all the members that attended had a fantastic time and we have had great feedback. So even if it is a little rainy (this is San Francisco!), put on your waterproof jacket and join us- you wont regret it!!

Everyone got creative at Bartending experimenting with different drinks and coming up with lots of interesting concotions.
Favorite drink of the night- Mai Tai:

Ingredients:

Mixing instructions: Shake all ingredients (except cherry) with ice and strain into a collins glass over several ice cubes. Top with the cherry and ENJOY!

Giants vs Patriots vs.... Scrubs?

scrubs The Superbowl Party we had at the clubhouse was a blast, we had the best turnout EVER not only in terms of people but also in the chili cook-off!  We were all having a great time, until....

With 29 seconds left in the game, things got VERY exciting.  The PVR (records TV shows) decided to kick in and change the channel on us at the most opportune time.  With everyone's nerves on edge and all eyes completely engrossed on the big screen, we suddenly found ourselves watching Comedy Central!

Thankfully, I was able to catch the change quickly and switched the channel back.  We only missed one play but still got to see the replay of Tom Brady getting sacked, for the 5th time.  It was a funny moment and everyone got a laugh out of it.

Thanks again to everyone who came and for putting up with 10 seconds of Scrubs.

Cheers,
Corey
