HOW IT WORKS:
You get any-time access to TWO cabins in tahoe, private suites, lofts, & bunks rooms too. You can bring a friend too, But most important, it is ALL INCLUSIVE & WORRY FREE - Internet, TV, Electricity, Gas, Snow Removal, Hot Tub Maintenance, etc - It is all about the fun! no need for meetings or committees... We even have social directors that plan some fun group activities during the month

What to Expect: For those of you who have never participated in a Community Ski Cabin, you can think of it as your own place in Tahoe that you can go to any time you want, bring a friend, enjoy a relaxing weekend, meet some other people, go out on the town.
We're young at heart, but not party animals. We are 20s, 30s & a
few 40s. You can get a good nights rest before hitting the slopes.
That being said, we hit the hot tub after getting back to the house and
often make group dinners and go out to see bands and other entertainment
in Tahoe. North shore cabin tends to be more about skiing/boarding, south shore cabin tends to be more being social and having fun.
All of the cabin members have to be approved by the other cabin members or UD staff before they can join the ski cabin. If you are not approved, your payment (less 3.5% for credit card fees) will be refunded.

How To Join:

3) We'll arrange to meet to see if the cabin is a right fit for you & you for us.
*You have 7 days from time of registration to conduct your screening and meet some other members
*If you are disapproved or decide to back-out and we'll refund all your money except 3.5% for credit card fees.

Cabin members can always bring up to 1 guest
**south shore has a limit of 4 guests at the cabin at one time on any weekend**
NEW FOR 2012-13 -Guest fees are
$35/nt on nights of Fri/Sat/Sun
$25/nt on nights Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur
Any guest who has been at the cabin more than 8 nights total in the year, will need to join the memberhsip or pay $60/nt
If you wish to bring more than 1 guest, you must simply email the group close to the date to see if room will be available.

$125 - Each cabin member must submit a $125 refundable security deposit

XMAS & NYE ARE SPECIAL! - our cabins typically rent out for $3000 each for each week for us to rent out!! That is over $10k for the ski cabins for those holidays alone! And you get it free!!
XMAS (Sunday this year!): Dec 22-26th, South Shore cabin will have an Xmas-party for all ski cabin members! Chip in $25 for potluck food! Due to space, your guests must pay $295 to stay in the cabin , even if just for one day! (someone has to pay for the party). North Shore will be closed for a Private Party.
NYE (SATURDAY this year): Dec 27-Jan 2, once again North Shore cabin will have a FREE NYE- PARTY FOR ALL CABIN MEMBERS! Well, you must chip in $25 for potluck food! Due to space your guests will have to pay $295, even if just for 1 day! South Shore will be closed for a Private Party.

Special Urban Diversion Activity Dates
|
1 weekend per month
- Social Directors will be organizing special activities at one of the cabins (never
both). These are anything from beginner boarding lessons, to hitting
specific slopes, or even snow shoeing and cross country skiing! This is FREE for all cabin members.
Up to 6 Regular Urban Diversion members are invited via the UD calendar to join this event. This helps keep down costs for the season, and insures at least one organized fun weekend per month you can join in.

Unless you are dis-approved for membership, you will need to get us a check for security deposit and you must also send in a signed copy of the release of liability form prior to going to the cabin.

 About the Ski Cabin Members:
Most Ski Cabin Members are in their upper 20s, 30s, or 40's. All UD Ski Cabin Members have been screened and risk losing their cabin membership, deposit, and regular UD Membership if they are irresponsible. We stress fun, safety, and responsibility. Each member is entrusted with an electronic key to the cabin, and must obey all the cabin rules and regulations.

Our Ski Cabins:
Unlike
some ski cabin groups, we do not overcrowd our ski cabin, under normal
circumstances members are guaranteed to have a bed. (guests are not
guaranteed to have a regular bed and may end up on a sofa or sleeping
bag; Members always have squatters rights over guests)
One
of the best features about the UD Ski Cabin is that Cabin Managers host activities
throughout the ski season that makes being a cabin member even more
rewarding. We may host ski/snowboarding weekends or Casino outings to
Reno, games nights, or snow shoeing instructions. As a Ski Cabin member
you are only responsible for special costs such as dinners or ski
rentals!!

Some basic Ski Cabins rules:
- Safety & Security First -
You must RSVP for the days you are going to be at the cabin before
leaving the bay area. Just like you want to know who is going to be at
the ski cabin each week, we must also know. We are strict on this rule.
- Bills -
Any heating/electric bills above $400 per month, will have the added
cost deducted from your security deposits. Everyone who stayed at the
cabin during the month will be assessed the fee. So watch the
gas/electricity when you leave... last year there was a $20 charge for
the season.
- End of season
- A $25 cleaning fee may be deducted from your deposit if the cabin is
not clean at the end of the season, or if it becomes overly dirty during
any given month. This will apply to all that were there for the month.
- Max Stay -Cabin members may not live at the cabins. To enforce this cabin members are not allowed to stay at the cabins for a total time of more than 15 days per month.
- Guests - Guests must be pre-registered and pre-paid
before arriving in Tahoe. Members are required to send a check for the
guest fees to Urban Diversion, 1329 Columbus Ave. Suite B. Failure to do
so will result in an additional $75 fee to change locks and you will lose your cabin membership! We don't want the burden of constantly watching over members, so police yourself.
- No smoking - in the cabin, or around the front entrances.
- Cabin Specific Rules - You must obey all of the house rules that are posted at the cabin.
- No Kids - No, The cabins are for your time away from being responsible for others, time to relax and enjoy!
- No Pets - unless they are ok in the garage space. Very few ski cabins in
fact permits any pets. However, There is a kennel service available
close to the cabins.
- Urban Diversion
- Urban Diversion Club is a separate membership from the cabin
membership. However, Urban Diversion members are invited up to a ski
cabin once-per month to join in a special event for both memberships.
All cabin events are free for ski cabin members, while regular UD
members must register and pay for the event. They will be registered as
a guest of the cabin manager on that weekend. On these special weekends, cabin members must signup 10 days prior to the event to guarantee their bed and so we know how many spots are open. If you sign-up after the 10 day deadline it is not a problem, but you lose your guarantee... and may end up on a pull-out.
