Summer Solstice Sunset Hike at Twin Peaks 

Urban hiking at it's best!

Amazing views of the city, and drinks with new friends! 

The Summer Solstice marks the official first day of summer, and we are celebrating with a fun urban hike! Twin peaks is one of our favorite places in SF to watch the sunset take over the sky, and the city lights come alive. In the Northern Hemisphere, this day is the longest day of the year, making this an extra special sunset. Let's get outside and celebrate the start of summer together!

What to Expect:

JUNE 2023: Twin peaks will be lit up with a Pride Month glowing pink Triangle.   Sunset is the latest of the year at 8:35pm

We will hike up Glen Canyon to Twin Peaks, offering us breathtaking view of the city below. This is the best way to clear your head and leave all the stress of the week behind!  
 

We'll meet at a locals bar called Glen Park Station at the time specified. We will have time to grab a drink and get to know each other before our hike. When everyone has arrived, we will start hiking up Glen Canyon, a wild refuge among a bustling city, and a great spot for an urban hike! SF Park & Rec says, "The canyon itself, one of the City's Significant Natural Resource Areas, with naturally forested slopes, native chert outcroppings, and wild flower growths including important native San Francisco species." We will then hike up into the beautiful open space of Twin Peaks where you'll witness expansive views of our city from San Francisco's 2nd highest point at 922 feet above sea level! After soaking in the views, we will head back down to sea level, and if everyone is in the mood, we can go out for food and more drinks in the Mission afterwards.
