What is a Supermoon?
A supermoon is a term used to describe a full moon that coincides with the moon's closest approach to Earth in its elliptical orbit, known as the perigee. During a supermoon, the moon appears larger and brighter in the sky compared to a regular full moon. This is because the moon is at its closest proximity to Earth, making it appear about 14% larger and up to 30% brighter than during a typical full moon.
