What is the Find-Your-Peak Challenge?
- Peak bagging with a twist!
- What is peak bagging?? When a hiker, climber, or mountaineer sets a goal to attempt to reach a collection of summits!
- We will conquer 6 peaks!
- If you join us for all 6 hikes in this series, whether its with us as a group, or solo (you can show us a completed trail map on Strava, Gaia or Alltrails), and you will receive a special prize for completing the challenge!
- PRIZE: If you complete all 6 peaks, you will be invited to two of our annual camp-outs at a 10% discount (Choose a campout of your choice, availability applies)
- You can join the series at any time, whether you want to join us for one hike, or for the entire series (highly encouraged), we welcome you! No need to start from the beginning, you can always tackle the previous hikes in your spare time as well (as noted above, you can show us a completed trail map on Strava, Gaia or Alltrails),
- This challenge is not just a physical journey; it's an opportunity to push boundaries, connect with fellow adventurers, and experience the breathtaking beauty of the great outdoors.

 What to expect:
Our peak challenge for February is Montara Mountain in the Pacifica/Moss Beach area. This hike is rated as moderately challenging with 7.4 miles round-trip, and 1,778ft elevation gain. Trust us, the amazing ocean views at the summit is worth all the effort! On clear days, you can even see all the way to SF!
We will meet at the trail head, and start the hike bright and early. Challenge yourself, embrace the thrill of elevation, and discover the extraordinary sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching the summit. If you're new to the club, this is a perfect event to come out and meet other new members and some long time members too! Whether you're a seasoned trailblazer or a novice explorer, join us as we conquer new heights together. We are setting out to hike the Bay Areas tallest and most iconic peaks. Who needs Everest when you have Mount Tam, St. Helena, and Mission Peak in your backyard?
