Join UD friends for a scenic night hike to one of the best spots in the Bay to see the full moon! We'll follow a picturesque trail that winds through open meadows and wooded paths, leading to a breathtaking panoramic view of the bay. The hike is only about a mile, so let?s relax at the top with drinks and snacks while we enjoy the stunning moonrise.

Full Moon Hike in the Berkeley Hills
Join UD for a night hike under one of the first full moons of the year!
Hiking under the full moon, with awesome friends, yummy snacks, and the best views of the Bay Area from above!
What to Expect:
This route has beautiful views both on the way up and down and is a good mix of hills and flat sections. At the top, there are amazing views of San Francisco's city lights/the Golden Gate Bridge on one side and the San Pablo Reservoir on the other.
Together, we'll mingle, share stories, and soak in the peaceful ambiance while nature works its magic. Lace up your sneakers, and join us for an adventure to remember. This event will last around an hour and a half and is marked as a moderate 3 mile hike with an elevation gain of only 610ft.

Snacks to enjoy at the top - (feel free to bring some of your own if you wish or hot cocoa if that's your kind of thing!)
The selection of a perfect hiking trail - this is 2 hour hiking trail and is labeled as moderately difficult.

Water bottle to hydrate
This is dog friendly trail so feel free to bring you fury friend!!
Attire: Casual & comfortable. Definitely wear hiking shoes if you have them or sneakers you don't mind getting dusty! Please wear layers!!! There will be no sympathy if you don't!
