A Blood Moon Eclipse
An eclipse watch party with the best views in town!

A Blood Moon Eclipse occurs during a total lunar eclipse when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow that gives the Moon a deep red hue. This eerie glow happens because Earth's atmosphere filters and refracts sunlight, scattering shorter blue wavelengths and allowing only the longer red wavelengths to reach the Moon. Unlike a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse is safe to watch with the naked eye and lasts for several hours, making it a mesmerizing celestial event. Ancient cultures once saw the Blood Moon as an omen, but today, we know it’s just a stunning display of cosmic mechanics in action!

What to Expect:
Forget the usual “hike-up, hike-down” routine—this **Blood Moon adventure** flips the script! We’re starting at the top of the peak, where the city views are already epic, then taking a breezy 2-mile hike downhill to refuel with mouthwatering Mexican eats. Afterward, we’ll duck into the bar next door for some liquid warmth to keep the night chill at bay. With bellies full and spirits lifted, we’ll hike back up to the summit, just in time to catch the total lunar eclipse bathing the city and sky in its fiery red glow. It’s a hike, a feast, and a cosmic show all rolled into one unforgettable night!
