Humboldt's Avenue of the Giants:
A Mystic Redwood Campout!
Towering redwoods, lush green forests, crystal-clear rivers and swimming holes, & tons of laidback NorCal vibes!

Embark on an unforgettable summer adventure in the land of giants!
Welcome to Humboldt Redwoods State Park! These aren’t your average trees… they are BIG - some of the tallest living things on Earth - reaching over 370 feet into the sky. If you’ve only seen redwoods in the Bay, you’re in for a jaw-dropping upgrade.
This hidden gem offers some of NorCal’s best camping, hiking, and river swimming, with lush fern-covered trails and forest magic around every bend. Swim in gorgeous rivers surrounded by cathedral-like canopies, explore iconic spots like the Avenue of the Giants, and discover secret local trails you won’t find on the map!
What to Expect:
A chance to fully experience the true Northern California in all its beauty and serenity! Some of the redwoods are estimated to be 1,500 years old. That's pretty darn old - considering how well many people can keep house plants alive.
If the amazing hikes aren't enough - we will have the chance to relax on the banks of the South Fork of the Eel River. The perfect spot for swimming and soaking up the sun. Bring an inner tube for lounging!
If you've never been to this area, the size and density of the giant trees is nothing short of spectacular. This area boasts the highest concentration of over 350ft trees in the world! At 350 feet, it's as high as a 35-story building, 45 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty from pedestal to torch, and more than twice as high as Niagara Falls.
Not to mention, we are staying in a beautiful campground that is right in the middle of the park.

Itinerary:
Friday:
We will meet up at our campsite on Friday late afternoon. We will set up our tents, meet other campers and get settled in for the weekend.
Your host will prepare dinner as the sun sets, and we will sit around a campfire and unwind. If you plan to arrive to camp after 8:30pm, please pick up dinner on your way to camp.
Saturday:
Saturday, we will be waking up at the campsite and enjoy a delicious breakfast together!
Then off for our days adventure - exploring the beautiful redwoods with a couple gorgeous hikes. We will explore old growth redwood groves, each one more magical than you could imagine.
After the afternoon hike, we will head down to the river where there is a great swimming hole to relax on the beach. We will swim in the water, bring floats/tubes, and bask in the sun!
Then it is time for our big family-style feast! Your host will take care of all the prep and logistics, just sit back and enjoy! Don't forget about the campfire and smores, and of course stargazing!
Sunday:
After a restful night, we will break camp and enjoy another hot breakfast.
Don't fret, the weekend can still continue! Those wishing to go home we will bid them adieu. For everyone else, we'll have a group that heads out to the Lost Coast. There's a beautiful beach, a truck in a tree (it's exactly like it sounds), and for those up for a 6.5 mile hike we can check out the Punta Gorda Light House.
