Just south of San Francisco, Pedro Point Headlands offer jaw dropping ocean views, gorgeous coastal cliffs, and rolling headlands, making it one of the Bay Area’s best coastal hikes. This hike is perfect for those looking to get a mild workout while soaking in panoramic coastal views and fresh ocean air, all while meeting awesome new friends.
What to Expect:
A beautiful, view-packed coastal hike along the Pacific cliffs and rolling headlands of Pedro Point! We’ll get our steps in while breathing in the fresh ocean air, sharing laughs with new friends, and snapping stunning photos of the dramatic coastline and rugged hillsides.
We’ll hike on the paved Devil’s Slide section with wide-open ocean views, then hike over to the Pedro Point Headlands, where grassy ridges and wildflower-dotted trails open up to sweeping vistas of the Pacific and Montara Mountain.
This hike is moderate, around 4.3 miles round-trip with 770 ft of elevation gain. It’s a solid hike, while staying totally doable!

Attire:
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers to handle cool coastal weather. This trail is mostly exposed, so bring a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. It can get windy, bring a windbreaker or extra layer.
