| Night at the Museum is one of our favorite after-work mixers... it's like going to a really cool hands-on science lab, but without the regular tourist crowds (aka kids). Better yet, each week has a different theme, a DJ spinning, people dressed in theme, and new themed exhibits to explore, so it's a fun new experience every time! Enjoy a drink and live music on site as we open our minds, get curious, and learn through playful exploration.

What is the California Academy of Sciences?
This is the only museum in the world that houses an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum! Want to be surrounded by butterflies in a domed rainforest? Marvel at the world's deepest living indoor coral reef? Say hi to an albino alligator? Gawk at sea giants? Have a real Night at the Museum experience with a t-rex skeleton (well, without the coming-to-life-and-trying-to-eat-you part)? It's all here! Ditch the kids, add a few bars, and invite a live DJ, and you have the perfect setting for after-work adult fun.
We start with drinks and socializing at the museum restaurant to get to know each other. Grab a drink while we mingle, enjoy live music, and explore the incredible exhibits and animals throughout the museum. Let's get geeky together... you may find that things look different after dark!

This Week's Theme: Nightlife Goes West
Don your cowboy boots – NightLife is serving up a whole lot of western flair. Get ready for an event that’s guaranteed to be ace high.
Spinning us through the night is virgo.cowboy.
Enjoy all the museum has to offer, plus these special events:
- Think you can ride it out? Climb onto our mechanical bull and see how long you can hang on. It’s your moment to channel your inner rodeo star (or just get the best photos of the night).
- Meet the Wild West Disco Cowboy. He’s rolling in with his glittering disco bison for photo ops and plenty of attitude. Dress your Western best—he’ll be on the lookout to crown the ‘Queen of the Rodeo’, so don’t hold back on the fringe, rhinestones, or ten-gallon hats.
- Now’s your chance to learn to two-step. Join Lower Haight Line Dancing for line dancing lessons and perfect the moves to keep you on the floor all night. No experience required—just bring your best yee-haw spirit.

What to Expect:
- Mix, meet & mingle with UD friends.. arrive early to mingle.. this is a public event so you can get lost in the crowd
- An expert member host to show you the best exhibits and guide you through the museum
- The group breaks into smaller groups as night goes on, the host will have 'Regroup times'
- NightLife is for adults 21+ only. Valid, physical photo ID required.

Last entry into Osher Rainforest is 7:30 pm — our animals need their sleep.

Morrison Planetarium passes are available online in advance for $5 each while supplies last. Showtimes are 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30 pm. A limited number of standby seats will be available for all showtimes as space allows on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gems and Minerals Unearthed opens to the public at 8:30 pm. It is reserved for NightLife Plus guests from 6 - 8:30 pm.

Food and drink are not permitted in Osher Rainforest, Morrison Planetarium, or the Swamp.
