Join us for a magical 4.2 mile hike in the beautiful forests of South Bay! This hike is mostly shaded and has a moderate, yet rewarding elevation gain. Your host will provide a picnic lunch for the group to enjoy. Come out and meet other members while getting your hike on!

Escape the city with a Redwood Forest Hike + Picnic Lunch!

 

 

The Hike - What to Expect:

This hike is rated moderate on AllTrails. It is about 4.2 miles, and should take close to 3 hours to complete. There is an elevation gain of 1,282 feet. Most of the trail has shade. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but must be on a leash. The hike will be lead by one our our experienced member hosts! We will be providing a light lunch for the group to enjoy, so please include any dietary restrictions to the comment box when you register.

 

Event Includes:

  • A great workout in a beautiful setting with your South Bay Host and fellow UD members
  • Knowledgeable Bay Area host!
  • Light picnic lunch during the hike 
  • Trail snacks! 

 

What to bring: 

  • Comfortable hiking shoes/boots 
  • Day pack to hold your belongings
  • Water 
  • Hat/sunscreen/sun glasses 
  • $6 for parking 
  • Attire:  Athletic wear/shoes for trail hiking.
